1. Petites présentations: We completed our mini-presentations from Friday. And then we finished the half-sheet with questiosn.
2.. FAIRE + infinitive: We continued studying the grammatical form used to express: making someone do something or having something done (by someone). 3. Review: We did some additional review prior to the exam which is tomorrow. Today's work was based on a handout. Please see me for a copy. 1. Axe chronologique: We did a quick timeline and then checked it together. 2. Recherches: We then divided into 4 groups and chose/were assigned different topics to do some quick research on to prepare for mini-presentations. We only completed 1 presentation, so the rest will go on Monday before we start our review.
1. Déclaration des droits de l'homme et du citoyen - 1789: We finished reading the selected articles of the declaration of rights of man. Students in their groups had read at least 2 and then helped the rest of us understand their articles. We made sure everyone understood the articles' meaning. We compared them to some of the rights and laws in the US.
2. Concours: We had a race in which students looked at an mixed up list of the articles written in simplified French. They had to read them and compare to the original list and match each simplified one to the correct original one. 3. Grammaire: We reviewed the verb FAIRE and studied how to explain when someone makes someone do something. FAIRE + infinitif ex. Mes profs me font étudier beaucoup. ex. Mes parents ont fait venir mon prof d'anglais pour le dîner. Today's work was based on a handout. Please see me for a copy.

2. Talk show - We had our talk show! It was a great success! All students participated and we stayed in French almost 100%! This was for a grade, so if you were absent, then you need to make this up. See me. 3. Droits de l'homme: We had time only to start reading the preamble together. I asked students to highlight these articles of the declaration: 1, 2, 3, 6, 9, 10, 11, 13, 16, 17 and to choose any 2 to read for homework. Tomorrow we will continue reading the preamble and then get into groups to work on the articles. 1. Lecture: We continued reading about the Etats généraux and the droits de l'homme et de la femme. See me for handout and help.

Chanson: We learned about the Marseillaise, the French national anthem written during the time of the revolution. We filled in blanks in the first stanza and the refrain. 4. Romans: We were assigned roles for our talk show based on the novel. Those in characters prepared how to talk and act. Those in the audience prepared questions to ask the characters. 1.
