We listened to our song to find additional words and check our list of previous words that we thought we heard. Then we received a copy of the lyrics to check whether our words were in the song or not. (2nd block - We did not have time to return to the song at the end of the class.)
In groups, we first reviewed the vocabulary. Then we played a game to practice recognizing and producing the vocabulary using the whiteboards. Each student is assigned to make flashcards for the words that they do not know already.
4th block completed the following as well, but 2nd block ran out of time.
We took down 3 new story structures and worked to create a story together.
ils trouvent une table libre - they find an open/free table
nous laissons un pourboire - we leave a tip
quelque chose à boire - something to drink
Once the story was told, we practiced retelling the story in French only.
We listened to the song once more and attempted to fill in as many lyrics as we could.
