2. Devinettes
We took 5 minutes to each write as many devinettes/riddles as we could. Basically, you are describing or hinting at an object, a place, or a person. And everyone else needs to guess the answer from your description. After we wrote them, we shared them with one another and tried to guess the answers.

Writing Task:
- Write a letter of 2-3 paragraphs. You are writing to a new pen pal. So in the letter, you will need to introduce yourself. You will discuss these areas: family, friends, pets, self-description-physical/personality, likes/dislikes/preferences. You will also mention a couple of things you’ve done, perhaps last summer, last month, or last weekend. You will also mention a couple of things you plan to do maybe this coming weekend. Throughout the letter, you should include questions for your new pen pal. You can ask about your pen pal’s family, personality, hobbies, etc., things they’ve done, and upcoming plans. You should attempt to accurately use verbs to indicate present, past, and future tense.
