1. Français 2 – Clochette – le 9 septembre – Traduisez les phrases suivantes en français :
1. My mother is sick now.
2. She doesn’t feel well.
3. I am going to the pharmacy.
4. *** She said, “Buy some aspirin for me.”
(During the clochette - we took notes on reflexives:
Je me / tu te / il se / elle se / on se / nous nous / vous vous / ils se / elles se
ex. Je me sens mal, elle se sent bien (see #3)
And we took notes on a group of irregular -ir verbs:
sortir, sentir, partir, servir, dormir
singular forms drop last 3 letters
plural forms 3rd to last letter reappears
endings are -s, -s, -t, -ons, -ez, -ent
ex. je sors, tu sors, il/elle/on sort, nous sortons, vous sortez, ils/elles sortent)
2. Chanson – grammar focus
We looked at the song lyrics (Ne me quitte pas) and identified the bolded endings. Together we determined that these are the future endings and are equivalent to "will" in English.
je -rai
tu -ras
il/elle/on -ra
nous -rons
vous -rez
ils/elles -ront
Just add to the end of the verb and it's the future: I will sing- Je chanterai.
