2. Paris Maps (did not do in 1st block)

3. Histoire - Christine 2
I handed out and we read the first couple of paragraphs of the second Christine story. Cliquez ici pour la deuxième histoire.
4. Notes
We finished taking notes on our vocab/grammar sheet. Cliquez ici pour la feuille de vocabulaire.
Conduire - to drive
je conduis, tu conduis, elle conduit, nous conduisons, vous conduisez, elles conduisent
PP: conduit (uses avoir)
suivre - to follow (expression: à suivre=to be continued)
je suis, tu suis, il suit, nous suivons, vous suivez, ils suivent
PP: suivi (uses avoir)
Negation:
Usually negation uses NE and PAS. But sometimes you can replace the PAS to create other negatives:
ne...jamais - never/not ever: Je ne crie jamais (I never scream)
ne...personne - no one/not anyone: Je ne vois personne. (I don't see anyone)
ne...rien - nothing/not anything: Je ne vois rien (I don't see anything)
ne...plus - no more/not anymore - Je ne lis plus (I don't read anymore)
Il n'y a plus de livres. (There are no more books.)
Note: Personne and Rien can also act as subjects of the sentence. In this case, they go to the front with no negative needed after the verb.
Personne ne m'aide avec mes devoirs. (No one helps me with my homework.)
Rien ne change. (Nothing changes.)
